Woodland tent pitch with optional electric hookup, separate from caravan area

The Owner Says

If you are coming to Manzac with canvas, or today's modern day equivalent, then we have a real treat for you. Our terraced woodland camping area, set by the waters of the River Bandiat, is entirely separate from our hard-standing area, offering seclusion, peace and quiet.
These five pitches are very large and well separated from each other, offering each visitor their own private space. The woodland camping area even has its own access to our sanitation facilities.
Of course, not everyone wishes to camp away from their car (although we'll help you get your gear to your tent pitch!), and so if we have availability we are happy to offer campers the choice of the woodland area or our hard standing pitches in the upper area of the site.
These are also suitable for tents, and some guests prefer them as you can park your car with your tent - depending on availability we'll do our best to give you the choice!
Whichever type of pitch you go for, you will have access to electric hookup via our 6A two-pin EU style sockets, and our extra strong site wide wifi will reach you without problem.

Nearby

The Périgord Limousin National Park is brimming with excellent walking and cycle trails – your hosts can provide maps. Just 25 minutes drive away lies the stunning town of Brantôme,  dubbed 'the Venice of France', where you can take a boat trip or hire a canoe to cruise down the River Dronne. Nearby, the ancient network of caves at Villars are home to some remarkable prehistoric paintings. You can also visit the battlefield where Richard the Lionheart was killed, in nearby Châlus. The town of Nontron (home of the famous folding-knife) is well worth a visit and is only a 10 minute drive.

Food & Drink

There are plenty of excellent eateries just a short drive from the site.   Nontron, 10 minutes away, is home to three large supermarkets that are open all day, while you can stock up on some of the region's celebrated produce at the Piégut market, which runs every Wednesday morning. There are also two excellent bakeries within a five minute drive for fresh croissants in the morning.
