About Cuckoo Fen Campsite

Suitable For

Tents and smaller campervans. No caravans or motorhomes. Well behaved dogs welcome.

Cuckoo Fen is the perfect destination for an unfussy yet comfortable, classic camping experience.

Our campsite is great for anybody who enjoys the simple relaxation and natural amusement that the countryside, the trees and the glorious open spaces can offer. There's enough space and variety to keep younger ones amused without preventing the unafflicted from enjoying the peace, too, making Cuckoo Fen an idea base also for free-spirited birders, walkers, cyclists and city tourists.

Cuckoo Fen also provides the perfect destination to get away from the white-noise of modern life. Our off grid facilities, lack of mains electricity and no music policy really do serve to help campers disconnect for a while.

Nearby

Our corner of the fens offers the best of all worlds: easy access to the fascinating and vibrant city of Cambridge via a unique 'guided busway' , not to mention a cluster of rich, nationally important nature reserves which offer unequalled access to their unique landscapes and the peace and quiet of rural East Anglia. The village of Over also offers easy access to the beautiful River Great Ouse including a newly re-built public slipway area with free public parking - ideal for launching anything from stand-up paddleboards and canoes to small leisure craft.

Food & Drink

Down the road, the Porterhouse offers great pizzas that go the extra mile, also accompanied by some great traditional beers and wines. The Bank micro-pub is the place to wash it all down; serving a surprising array of traditional ales, craft beers and other eclectic beverages - also in Willingham.

A similar distance in the other direction brings you to Swavesey and its White Horse and those venturing a tad farther will be rewarded by the delights of the Three Tuns at Fen Drayton, the latter offering an excellent menu of home-cooked classics.
