The Owner Says
A unique pod floating on the edge of a 15 acre trout lake. The Grebes nest has a king sized bed with bedding and towels provided. There is a kitchen area with fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, BBQ. Crockery, cutlery and utensils are provided. Facilities are nearby on the Campsite or in the Fishing lodge and include toilets and showers, games room with pool and table tennis, pizza oven, freezer and washing machine. Tea rooms and a la Carte restaurant also on site. Also a farm shop, furniture and gift shop, fishing, pottery painting, yoga, Pilates, massage, pedallo’s and boat hire, stand up paddle boarding.

The farm itself is a treasure trove. Along with the food and drink options, there's fly fishing for trout, carp fishing in the main coarse lakes (please use the green ‘book now’ Button) and a Pottery and Painting Studio There's also a converted space called ‘Yogiswari’ where you can try pilates, yoga and complimentary therapies. There's easy access on foot or bike to the sea wall by the beautiful Blackwater Estuary. Elsewhere, it's a 10-minute drive to the supermarkets and pubs at Maldon, where Maldon Promenade Park has a 'splash park' (watery fun for kids in summer) and crazy golf, rollerskating, bowling and soft play. Colchester Zoo is 25 minutes away. Tiptree Jam Factory (01621 815407) and Museum is about 15 minutes away. Pedallo’s, rowing boats and kayaks can be used on site on Home Water Lake from 1st July to 14th September. Either hire from us or bring your own.Food & Drink
The Black Pig Farm Cafe is in the main farm courtyard. A short walk down the lane and along the sea wall to Heybridge Basin, there’s a choice of two pubs The Jolly Sailor and Old Ship, and The Lock Tearooms.Extras

Our Breakfast hamper includes Wicks Manor Sausages, Wicks manor Bacon, 4 Fresh Farm Eggs, 2 Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Baked Beans, Bread, Butter, Small Jam and Marmalade pots, Orange Juice.
Smoked Salmon nibbles hamper
200g pack of Lambton and Jackson Smoked Salmon, Loaf of Granary Bread, Butter, Lemon, Hummus, Mini Wheat Toasts.
DIY Pizza Kit
Ready Rolled Pizza base (serves two) Jar of tomato sauce, a can of pineapple, a can of sweetcorn, a pepper, ham and cheddar cheese. Logs for the pizza oven.

Romantic Package
Your Glamping Accommodation will be decorated with themed bunting, fairy lights, fresh flowers and a neon sign. There will also be two small bars of locally produced chocolate.
