Chigborough Carpers Cabin, is a one room cabin for Coarse and Carp Anglers who want a little more comfort than pitching a bivvy. Aimed at Anglers who would like to be joined by their familes, It can sleep up to four in a double bed and a bunk bed. It has a gas hob and tea and coffee making facilites, out door furniture and a fire pit and logs and allows discounted fishing on Chigborough’s established and popular Carp and Coarse lakes. We have Carp to over 40lb, Catfish to 140lb and good bream, tench, roach, rudd and pike. Bedding can also be provided as optional extra. Our aim is to provide a comfortable, relaxing place to rest and stay whilst being close enough to the lake to maximise your fishing trip. Whilst the cabin is just a stones throw from the lake, it isn’t close enough to adequately supervise your rods from inside so all lines must be removed from the water unless you are sitting by them. The cabin is off grid, there is a portaloo in the car park nearby and it is a 5 minute walk from the main campsite facilities which include wet rooms, games rooms, outdoor kitchen, pizza oven, loos and showers. In the main courtyard a short walk away there is a shop, cafe and restaurant. Also on site we have a pottery painting studio and yoga and massage. The cabin is a few hundred metres from the beautiful BlackWater Estuary which is a great place to walk, cycle and visit pubs and tea rooms. The Carpers Cabin accommodation is situated next to our on-site tackle shop.

The farm itself is a treasure trove. Along with the food and drink options, there's fly fishing for trout, carp fishing in the main coarse lakes (please use the green ‘book now’ Button) and a Pottery and Painting Studio There's also a converted space called ‘Yogiswari’ where you can try pilates, yoga and complimentary therapies. There's easy access on foot or bike to the sea wall by the beautiful Blackwater Estuary. Elsewhere, it's a 10-minute drive to the supermarkets and pubs at Maldon, where Maldon Promenade Park has a 'splash park' (watery fun for kids in summer) and crazy golf, rollerskating, bowling and soft play. Colchester Zoo is 25 minutes away. Tiptree Jam Factory (01621 815407) and Museum is about 15 minutes away. Pedallo’s, rowing boats and kayaks can be used on site on Home Water Lake from 1st July to 14th September. Either hire from us or bring your own.Food & Drink
The Black Pig Farm Cafe is in the main farm courtyard. A short walk down the lane and along the sea wall to Heybridge Basin, there’s a choice of two pubs The Jolly Sailor and Old Ship, and The Lock Tearooms.Extras

Our Breakfast hamper includes Wicks Manor Sausages, Wicks manor Bacon, 4 Fresh Farm Eggs, 2 Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Baked Beans, Bread, Butter, Small Jam and Marmalade pots, Orange Juice.
Smoked Salmon nibbles hamper
200g pack of Lambton and Jackson Smoked Salmon, Loaf of Granary Bread, Butter, Lemon, Hummus, Mini Wheat Toasts.
DIY Pizza Kit
Ready Rolled Pizza base (serves two) Jar of tomato sauce, a can of pineapple, a can of sweetcorn, a pepper, ham and cheddar cheese. Logs for the pizza oven.
