Just under an hour from London, but feeling like a million miles away, Chigborough Farm is a tranquil and picturesque rural oasis on the North of the River Blackwater estuary near Maldon in Essex. The camping and glamping area is nestled in amongst 130 acres of arable land and fishing lakes, there are permissive footpaths throughout. It is just a short walk from the sea wall and the local coastal village of Heybridge Basin where there are pubs and a Wilkins and Sons tearoom. On site we have toilets, showers, games room, communal dining area with brick pizza oven, log cabin style fishing lodge over looking the lake, The Black Pig Farm Cafe, Lambton & Jackson Smokehouse, a pottery painting studio, a fresh fish shop, yoga, pilates and complimentary therapies. We offer accommodation in The Raft, Birdsong Safari tent, Grebes Nest and Woodpecker Pods, Carpers Cabin and Bell Tents and we also have a seasonal Camping and Caravanning Club Members site and a non members camping area.

A self contained, detached self catering converted historical barn in the courtyard at Chigborough Farm. Sleeps 2A plus up to 2A on a sofa bed in the main living space. .

Booking Policy
- Pitches C1-16 are for Camping and Caravan Members only (at least one member per booking)
- Pitches W1-12 are for non members.
- Arrival is from 1pm for the Campsite, departure 12 noon latest.
- Arrival for the Bell tents and cottages is from 4pm and departure 10am latest (2 night minimum)
- Arrival for Woodpecker is from 4pm and departure 10am latest (2 night minimum)
- Arrival for The Raft, Birdsong and The Grebes nest is from 3pm (2 night minimum) Please park in the fishery car park and collect your map, keys, instructions and wheelbarrow from outside Rubinos Restaurant.
- Please ensure you arrive by 9pm latest, and keep vehicle movements to a minimum after this time.
- Please observe our quiet time of 10pm.
- Dogs are permitted on the campsite only provided they have been booked in online, they are not permitted on the Raft, Birdsong or Grebes Nest.
- BBQ's are permitted provided they are of the ground
- Children under twelve must be supervised in the games room and on the play area.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations must be made in writing to chigboroughfarm@gmail.com
- If notice of a cancellation is received within 14 days of the booking date and before four weeks before the arrival date then a full refund less bank fees and any website booking or commission fees will be made. In this scenario the £30 booking fee will not be charged.
- Any alteration or cancellation must be made more than 4 weeks before the arrival date
- If cancelled before this date, a full refund will be made less an admin fee of £30.
