Our bespoke mezzanine cabins arrived on site in Spring 2024 . All details and images will be updated in due course - please do contact us with any questions before booking.
Here's what to expect:
Nestled just off the upper camping meadow, to the backdrop of the Lime tree avenue and with views out across the camping meadows, our cabins have their own outside area complete with tripod BBQ/Firepit.
Bring a good book and a sense of adventure to enjoy your perfect break, where you can relax in comfort in our brand new cabins. Inside you will find a self contained kitchenette (cooker, hob, fridge, sink), shower room (with loo and wash basin), a living area with sofa bed and the all important log burner for cosy evenings .
 Climb up to the mezzanine level sleeping platform via a wonderful tree trunk staircase or Ladder you will find a double bed on each side with porthole windows for peeping out at the gorgeous Norfolk sunsets.  The pod is fully insulated, with lockable picture door leading out to your own area with decking and marshmallow toasting a plenty on the provided firepit/BBQ
Perfect for a family stay or a cosy couples retreat. Beyond the grass, the fine city of Norwich is on your doorstep (15 minutes along National Cycle Route 1, 25 minutes by foot), the Broads will be your back garden and, of course, there’s 80 acres of Country Park to explore with woods, broads, rivers, meadows, an outdoor activity centre and play areas (including a play area reserved only for our guests).

The cabins include:

  • Electric lighting and plug sockets
  • ·         Shower room with toilet and washbasin
  • ·         Fully equipped kitchen (induction hobs, fridge with small freezer compartment, cooker prep area, pans, utensils & crockery) and foldaway table
  • ·         2 mezzanine areas with double bed in each - solid staircase for access, 1 pull out double sofa bed in the lounge area – all bedding provided. mezzanines accessed by a stair case on left and ladder on right
  • log burning stove with wood/kindling provided
  • ·        Private decking and grass areas outside, a BBQ and firepit

A maximum of up to 4 adults  OR 2 adults and up to 4 children under 14

  • well behaved pooches and grandparents welcome

Please note these cabins are intended for use by the occupants only with a maximum of 4 adults or 6 people (with children) / 1 dog smaller breed dog and not to be shared with campers/others on site

Suitable For

Campervans (max 6.5m)  are welcome in our lower meadow on our grassy pitches to camp among tents also, our upper meadow is for tents only and is vehicle free for you to enjoy the site without cars (dedicated parking provide). Our glamping options are around the upper meadow - check out our site map for details.

 Your friendly pooches are always welcome to site, just add your furry friend to your booking - there are some great sniff spots and walking trails to enjoy. If you can arrive to site by cycle - we are right on national cycle route 1 we are happy to offer you a cyclists discount!

We welcome all guests of all ages to site, well behaved grandparents, your newbies, old and friends and new friends alike to site - we cant wait to meet you!  school leavers and groups are welcome - we do ask you contact us with your requirements before booking. We have a countryside camping code for all - a camping or glamping break of a quiet countryside nature is the order of the day here at Whitlingham

Nearby

We are surronded by 80 acres of gorgeous country park within the Coleman estate - there are walking trails a plenty - we are in the Bodicca way and  Wherryman's Man way footpaths plus national Cycle Route One path. Whitlingham Adventure just a 3 minute walk away from site offers plenty of broad-based aquatic activities including canoeing, dragon boat hire, sailing, windsurfing. You can hire hand made canoes from Thorpe Island boats and paddle through the city, Self drive boats from Bishy barnebees, paddles boards from Norwich Paddleboard hire for water based activities. Borrow a Beryl bike from the park or head out on foot.

The Broads will be your back garden for your stay with us - you can hit the beach within 20 minutes, explore mashes and nature reserves or check out the tourist attractions such as BeWILDerwood, Wroxham, Or Great Yarmouth for seaside fun and world class circus. A must see is a trip to Winterton on Sea or Sea Palling so see our seal colonys

Norwich has attractions galore as well plenty of places to eat and drink. A vibrant and arty city - you can wander the lanes for independent shopping, catch an arthouse movie or theatre production akin to the west end, drink a rooftop cocktail or storm the castle for your fill of local history - birdwatches may be intrested to see the resident Pergrine Falcon in the catherdral tower


Food & Drink

There’s a café inside the Whitlingham Broad Visitor Centre (01603 617332) and there’s a good vegan restaurant, River Green Café (01603 622448), at the entrance to Whitlingham Lane. Norwich is a treasure trove for small bars and cafés. We particularly recommend Frank’s Bar (01603 618902) for relaxed Mediterranean-accented dining, Wild Thyme (01603 765562) for vegetarian food and St Andrews Brew House (01603 305995) for a pint.
