Check-in days are Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat online, however if you wish to arrive another day please get in touch. The Bird Hide is a fully insulated low roof cabin designed to give families a unique opportunity to watch the sunset over the River Stour. With direct river views and binocular watching hatches, you can spend the evening bird watching and stargazing. There is a firepit and marshmallow sticks to bring your own wood or we can provide for a small fee. There's room to fish or why not hire a kayak for the evening for a sunset paddle straight back to your family den for the night. This has a matted floor so ideal to bring your own sleeping and pillow. There is no bedding provided and there is no electric.
There are toilets nearby and then showers available in the camping area which is a short walk away.
The space is ideal for up to 4 people but can sleep 5 to be cozy.

Want to enjoy the surroundings, but in the comfort of your own tent? We have limited camping pitches available to book with full access to our generously sized shower blocks and washing up areas, as well as the six-metre wide sunken fire pit. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate camper vans or caravans on site.Nearby
Our park also has a Watersport Centre and Coffee House: you can hire paddle boards and kayaks, as well as get an ice-cream or enjoy a hearty breakfast or lunch overlooking the river.You don’t need a car to enjoy the area as we are only a short walk from Manningtree train station. The perfect base to explore Flatford and Dedham Vale on foot, cycle the many miles of Suffolk cycle routes, or hire a kayak to see Constable country from a new perspective. The bustling town of Manningtree is also only a short distance away with several pubs, restaurants and bars for a more lively evening during your stay.
