Rediscover the joy of camping in our Camping Cabin which is perfectly situated with a west facing deck and picturesque view of the lake. Go fishing straight out of your door or simply enjoy the view of our tree-lined lake from the cabin's own veranda.

Our cabin is perfectly situated with a west facing deck and picturesque view of the lake. Set back 12m from the lake shore and in a beautiful location, the cabin offers the experience of the lakeside views and atmosphere unique to our site without the rigmarole of packing and setting up your tent. The cabin is both insulated for cooler weather and well ventilated for those warm summer evenings. Go fishing 20 meters from your door or simply enjoy the view of our tree-lined lake from the cabin’s own veranda. The furniture and decoration is undergoing an upgrade and we will be packing it with luxurious furnishings with botanical prints and shabby chic styling. Solar powered lighting and electric hook up are provided. The Cabin can sleep up to 4. Two in the double bed and two on the double sofa-bed. Bedlinen sets can be provided at £25/set/night but if you prefer a cheaper option and or prefer to have your own bedding please bring it with you. The shower facilities are just a short walk away from the cabin. We are delighted to be able to offer this affordable way for fair-weather campers to enjoy an easier camping experience. The cabin can be locked, leaving your possessions secure when you go off and explore.

For outdoor activities there’s neighbouring Avalanche Adventure (01858 880613) and The Gliding Centre (01858 880521) at Husbands Bosworth Airfield less than five minutes down the road; both bookable in advance. More sedate alternatives include 18th-century Cottesbrooke Hall (01604 505808) and Althorp House (01604 770107; July-August), the latter being the Spencer family estate, home to Princess Diana’s island grave and a museum. The Kilworth House Hotel (01858 881939), a 10-minute drive away, also has an excellent outdoor theatre in a beautiful wooded glade close to the lake in the grounds of the house.

Food & Drink

On selected Saturday and summer holiday Tuesday evenings in the summer a woodfired pizza horsebox arrives to make on-site dinners easy; check with reception for availability during your stay. Off site, The Red Lion in Sibbertoft (01858 880011) does great food and is just a mile away and The Wharf Inn at Welford (01858 575075), can be reached by footpath from the site. There's lots more information about places to eat out in the local area on site.
