Silverbird is an original Airstream dating to 1967 and kitted out with our cute vintage touches. Best of all she has the most peachiest position with a stunneramic lakeside view. Sleeps 2.

The coolest of cool, our genuine American Airstream is the Steve McQueen of caravans, with a choice pitch and lakeside view. You can watch the sun set over the lake at your own corner of the site close to the lake. Equipped with everything you need, dining space, double bed, kitchenette, outdoor seating and BBQ. Use of camping washroom facilities and airstream chemical toilet for night time use/emergencies. This is the perfect choice for couples looking for a really nice spot to spend some relaxing time together. Located away from the main camping field to offer privacy. Sleep like a dream in luxury bedding, connect with nature whilst enjoying the luxury you deserve and the retro buzz of airstream allumination!

For outdoor activities there’s neighbouring Avalanche Adventure (01858 880613) and The Gliding Centre (01858 880521) at Husbands Bosworth Airfield less than five minutes down the road; both bookable in advance. More sedate alternatives include 18th-century Cottesbrooke Hall (01604 505808) and Althorp House (01604 770107; July-August), the latter being the Spencer family estate, home to Princess Diana’s island grave and a museum. The Kilworth House Hotel (01858 881939), a 10-minute drive away, also has an excellent outdoor theatre in a beautiful wooded glade close to the lake in the grounds of the house.

Food & Drink

On selected Saturday and summer holiday Tuesday evenings in the summer a woodfired pizza horsebox arrives to make on-site dinners easy; check with reception for availability during your stay. Off site, The Red Lion in Sibbertoft (01858 880011) does great food and is just a mile away and The Wharf Inn at Welford (01858 575075), can be reached by footpath from the site. There's lots more information about places to eat out in the local area on site.
