Inside, you’ll find a large double bed with linen and towels provided, a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower and private toilet, and a kitchenette with everything you need for your stay, including Microwave Oven, kettle, hob, mini fridge and Wi-Fi.
There’s no shortage of things to do during your stay. For thrill-seekers, Hinton Sky Dive Centre and Banbury Gliding Club are based right next door on the airfield, offering unforgettable aerial experiences. Just minutes away, Delta Force Paintballing is perfect for high-energy group fun. If you prefer to stay grounded, enjoy scenic walks from the doorstep, with public footpaths leading into beautiful countryside and charming local villages. Foodies will love the nearby country pubs – try the walkable Rose & Crown in Charlton, or venture a bit further to The White Horse in Kings Sutton or The Muddy Duck in Hethe. For day trips, explore stately homes like Blenheim Palace and Sulgrave Manor, or visit popular attractions including Silverstone, Bicester Village, Warwick Castle, and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The camping field is best suited for tents and vehicles are not allowed on the grass to ensure you can fully enjoy the surroundings. Please do feel free to get in touch if you have any queries about your camping set-up.Well behaved dogs are happily permitted, and must remain on a lead whilst on the site.
Nearby
Views all around are of open countryside, and it’s easy to get out for more rural exploring – you can pretty much venture straight from your tent out onto public footpaths leading through field and woods to classic villages and country pubs.More intrepid visitors can sate their appetite for adventure at Hinton Airfield with skydiving, gliding and flying days, or at the paintballing centre – both are pretty much next door. Rather more relaxing times in mind? Take a wander around the grounds to look out for remnants of World War II outbuildings and air-raid shelters, or simply settle down to watch the gliders overhead.
Get in the driving seat instead and all sorts of day trips can be on the menu, including outings to Blenheim Palace, Silverstone and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Food & Drink
For take-away drinks, breakfast baps and light bites there’s a small café at the Skydive Centre on the airfield.The closest convenience store and recommended local pub The Rose & Crown is in the village of Charlton, which is approximately a 30-minute walk away. Larger supermarkets can be found in Brackley which is a 15-minute drive.
