Campervan Pitch

UK England North East England East Riding of Yorkshire Pocklington The Darling Woods of May

  • Sleeps 6 (max 6 adults, 5 children)
Off-grid, grass campervan pitch

The Owner Says

This is the spot for you if you’re after a camping adventure amongst carefully nurtured, sustainably managed countryside.

Off-grid pitches are mown into long grass or tucked into woodland, so they all have a secluded, wild camping feel (but with posh loos!) On the campsite, you'll find two clean toilets, a hot rainfall shower and a washing up area with 3 sinks. We don't cram people in here - we have a maximum limit of up to 7 pitches at once on a 2 acre camping field. There's no WIFI on our campsite but there is a lovely big swing - suitable for children or adults to play on and if you get bored of that - why not explore our woodland walk and visit our resident alpacas? Campfires are also allowed at our campsite - because, what's the point of camping without a campfire?!

Surrounded by farmland and open fields - the skies are dark here & it's the perfect spot for stargazing.

Set in over 12 acres of open meadows and woodland, The Darling Woods Of May is located on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, 10 minutes drive from Pocklington in the East Riding of Yorkshire and just 20 minutes from the beautiful city of York.

The Darling Woods of May is also a small working alpaca farm and you'll be camping right next to our alpaca friends!  We run alpaca experiences which includes woodland plods, picnics & parties and you can book online here - www.bookwhen.com/darlingwoods

We accept tents only from May 1st - 30th September
