The Owner Says
The campsite set within the Yorkshire Dales National Park is within a mile of Bolton Abbey and the river Wharfe. From Bolton Abbey the Dalesway footpath winds its way along the river passing through picturesque towns and villages such as Ilkley, Burnsall and Grassington. Only a few miles away lies the busy market town of Skipton, Gateway to the Dales.
A walker's paradise with much to explore and lots to do for families including Hesketh Farm Park and the Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream Factory both just a stones throw away. The popular Devonshire Arms is within 15 minutes walk along a beautiful country footpath. “The Dev” is the perfect place for a summers evening; with outdoor seating, good food and local beers. The area boasts many good restaurants and coffee shops, a variety of shopping opportunities and many local seasonal events.
Established in 2014, the campsite has a brand new shower block with hot showers, washbasins and toilets including a dedicated disabled/family room in both male and female washrooms. A separate facility provides sinks for pot washing and 2 large communal fridge freezers. There is a small shop selling a few basic essentials and our ever-popular fire pits are available to hire on request.
The campsite itself is part of a traditional Yorkshire farm with spectacular views across the Wharfe valley. With a small stream meandering through the site Catgill is a beautiful and peaceful setting in which to relax, the perfect place for a memorable stay in the Yorkshire Dales.
Minimum 3 night-stay on Bank Holiday and 2 night stay on High Season (July 1st – September 1st).
