About The Half Moon Pub & Venue

The Half Moon is a perfect location set in the heart of Sussex at the foot of the South Downs. We have facilities for all types of overnight stays and 2 fully equipped Shepherd Huts. The local walks are endless with the beauty of the South Downs way we really are in a great location. We welcome all family members including dogs on site. Looking for a meal, the pub is open for food at lunchtime and in the evening and we allow phone charging in the pub too during opening hours.

Booking Policy

  • Check-in: 15:00 - 20:00
  • Check-out: 11:00
  • At least one of the party members must be aged 15 or over.
  • Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents/legal guardians.
  • Dogs are not permitted in the shepherds huts, but are allowed if camping.  Please keep them on a lead at all times and clean up after them.
  • Quiet hours must be respected between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.
  • No hen/stag parties permitted
  • Bookings must not consist of more than 2 different households
  • Group bookings of 2 or more units travelling together are not permitted
  • BBQs are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times
  • Open fires are prohibited
  • No music permitted on site
  • We very occasionally receive last minute wedding/event bookings - in these instances we will inform you as it will be noisy, but reserve the right to cancel/reschedule bookings accordingly.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before the holiday start date will be subject to your 30% or £22 deposit paid
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the holiday start date will not be refunded
  • We suggest you take out the necessary holiday insurance to cover any losses
