The Site

Offering 34 large pitches for families, couples and small groups. Dogs are welcome on Tom’s Field, but we do expect them to be well behaved and the owners to clean up after them. We welcome guests with tents and camper vans only, sorry no caravans or electric hook up.

We are a small, quiet, family orientated site and do not allow large loud groups to stay. In order for our guest to enjoy the beautiful peaceful surroundings we have a no noise after 11.30 pm policy, and no music at any time.

Facilities

Tom’s Field has a brand new shower unit offering 4 unisex showers and another block  with 4 unisex flushing toilets. 2 dishing washing stations at either end of the site also offer hot water.  Our reception has freezers for ice packs, fridge and phone charging all free of charge. We hire fire pits and sell small logs, kindling and British made charcoal. At weekends a small community run shop, from the village of Woodgreen, visits Tom’s Field bring essentials including freshly baked bread and milk.

Nearby

It’s ½ mile to Sandy Balls Holiday Park (08442 491193), home to all the extra amenities you might fancy (including a swimming pool, bike hire and children’s playgrounds). There are a number of good cycle routes running past the campsite. Bikes are generally considered the best way to make the most of the area. Keep your eyes peeled for wild ponies and deer or spot them more easily at local wildlife parks. It’s a ½-hour drive to the Beaulieu Estate (01590 614621), home to the National Motor Museum among other delights, and less to Paultons Family Theme Park (02380 814442), home to Peppa Pig World, and hugely popular with little ones.

Food & Drink

Visit The Cider Pantry (01425 402193) to sample and buy locally brewed cider or apple juice made ye-olde-worlde way. The Fighting Cocks (01425 652462) is a hop and a skip away with outdoor seating and piled-high plates of usual to unusual pub fare, such as New Forest faggots and mash and spicy New Orleans jambalaya.
