Harry’s field is a small campsite run by campers for campers. We’ve created a tranquil retreat in one of the most serene corners of the New Forest with everything we’d expect to see on our perfect pitch.

Combine years of experience, decades of enthusiasm and almost half a century of New Forest camping heritage and you get Harry’s Field, a perfectly formed campsite in one of the New Forest’s most striking hamlet’s.

We love it here, in fact, for three generations our family have lived right next door.

Escapism and considerate New Forest camping underpins our philosophy at Harry’s Field, so we don’t welcome large groups – sorry to be party poopers. With no busy roads, just quiet country lanes, the only thing that will keep you awake at night will be the hoot of owls – and maybe a snoring husband, but I’m afraid we can’t do much about that!

There are cycle trails and numerous walking routes right from the campsite so you can truly explore the best of the New Forest right from the gate.

Harrys Field has a very well stocked little shop and we pride ourselves on our warm croissants & pain au chocolate (which our guests rave about).

A perfectly formed pitch in one of the New Forest’s most striking hamlets. Our pitches are marked and preallocated. They are a generous 10m squared and as well as being flat and very well-drained – we know first-hand the perils of an uneven pitch – our campsite is sheltered too, surrounded by hedgerows teaming with birdlife.

Booking Policy

  • Bookings on weekends are for min. 2 nights (3 for Bank Holidays)
  • Refundable deposit of £200 required for Bell Tent bookings to insure against damage/breakages - refunded upon inspection on departure.
  • The management is entitled to refuse admission if deemed necessary even when a prior booking has been made.
  • Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra cars must be parked in the designated area.
  • Barbecues and fires are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
  • Dirty water, rubbish and any waste / recycling must be disposed of in the indicated areas.
  • In the event of a complaint, please speak to the reception immediately.
  • Guests are asked to avoid any noise after 10.30pm that may disturb other campers
  • No stag or hen dos
  • Fouling must be cleaned up immediately.
  • Dogs must be kept on leads & supervised at all times.
  • Bell Tents - bedding is supplied for the double bed only, not any single beds.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be confirmed by email to camp@harrysfield.co.uk. Depending on date we receive it, the following charges apply:
Bell Tents:
  • up to 60 days before arrival - full refund*
  • 59-31 days before arrival - 50% refund
  • 30 days - day of arrival - no refund
Pitch:
  • up to 28 days before arrival - full refund*
  • 15-27 days before arrival - 50% refund
  • 14 days to day of arrival - no refund
*less admin fee of £20
If we have to cancel your holiday due to circumstances within our control, we will endeavour to offer you the option of an alternative pitch/site of a comparable standard subject to availability within the same booking season.
