Matilda is a 2 berth hut (two double beds), with bespoke french doors and windows. She has wood burning stove,12v electricity, outdoor seating, and an awning with table and 2 burner hob for a bit of shelter when cooking. N.B Please bring your own linen.

Suitable For

This site is suitable for all campers, couples can have there own areas away from the hustle and bustle, families can have spacious areas to run around and play, groups can have large areas just for themselves and people who want comfort and ease, can have shepherd huts with double beds, cookers and much loved shade in the morning hours and swimmers have the river. It is ideal for walks, sightseers, wildlife watchers, cyclists, watersport enthusiasts and good old fashion camping and chilling.

Nearby

The Birds: Kestrels, Buzzards, Herons, the family of Geese and our local Cuckoo bird who flies over are some of the wildlife you see daily. The countryside and rolling hills for views. The river for swimming in on the hot days or to paddle down the river by canoes, kayaks or paddle-boards. Even walking along the river banks and taking in the wonderful scenery. We are fortunate enough to be near the coast and Brighton is just over 30-minutes away, another way to celebrate another fun day.

Food & Drink

Cabin At Berretts Farm is a lovely café with lots of outdoor seating and some covered seating too. Its a prefect walk for families with baby strollers, bicycles and dogs are welcome. Its roughly 45 minute walk through the country. If you are cycling or bringing strollers do not walk along the river bank but rather towards Henfield, you will not encounter gates and the paths are much smoother!

You can also walk into Henfield, which has plenty of delightful pubs and if you don't mind driving, The Windmill pub in Partridge Green always has excellent service and good food!

Firepit BBQ 60cm

Our firepit BBQs can be hired online and onsite. It is best to book in advance to guarantee you have one on busy weekends. If you book online, we will have the firepits ready and waiting on your pitch when you arrive.

Firepit BBQ 100cm! Very large!

Our firepit BBQs can be hired online and onsite. This one is much larger than the standard one at 100cm across! But it still comes with a grill to cook on. It is best to book in advance to guarantee you have one on busy weekends. If you book online, we will have the firepits ready and waiting on your pitch when you arrive.

Second Car

We allow one vehicle per paid pitch. If you want to bring a second vehicle there will be a small charge.

Net of Firewood

We sell bags of logs and charcoal. To keep you warm and to cook your marshmallows wood is the best option. For a good BBQ, charcoal is better. Whichever you end up buying they will come with a fire starter kit. This includes kindling, paper and a fire-lighter. By pre booking these, we can have these ready and waiting for you on your pitch. We recommend 2 bags of firewood per family for a warm evening

USB Power bank rental

We all know camping is about getting away from technology, but sometimes you just need a little extra juice to get by, so were are offering USB battery bank rentals to keep you covered over your stay. Each power bank will be 20,000 MAH and will charge a modern smart phone between 2-5 times from empty, depending on the phone.

Charcoal

We stock bags of charcoal for all your BBQing needs on site, so if you cant fit it in your car, or simply don't have any to bring, fear not.

Unlimited USB power bank rental

This is the same as the power bank rental, however if you run out of power with the power bank, we will swap it out with a freshly charged one for as many times as you need

Cool box hire

With the lovely hot weather we're going to have this summer, we have purchased some cool boxes for you to hire to keep your food fresh. Each cool box will include ice packs to help keep it cool. Once these have defrosted bring them back to the reception and we will exchange them over for fresh ice packs free of charge.

Dog

We do allow well behaved dogs in some of our huts, please note the price includes a £15 cleaning fee for the hut. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know before booking in your furry friend.

Please keep them on a lead at all times and be courteous of your neighbours and all the children running around. There is a secure dog field on site and lots of local walks that dogs can be let off lead, but due to a number of dog attacks they must be on a lead on site.

It is best to book in advance to guarantee you have one on busy weekends. If you book online, we will have the firepits ready and waiting on your pitch when you arrive.

Fresh bedding for a double bed

Unfortunately we are currently unable to wash linen for the huts, so we are offering up brand new bedding that you can take home with you at the end of your stay (duvet cover, sheet and 2 pillow cases). If you add this extra, your beds will be made prior to your arrival, otherwise we can supply you with our duvets and pillows, but please bring your own linen. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring your own duvet/pillows and we will take our bedding out prior to your arrival
