The Owner Says

Fall asleep to the sounds of nature in one of our handcrafted (by Crofters) Katas. Each one is complete with a wood burning stove (super cosy even in the depths of winter), outdoor kitchen, eco toilet outhouse and fire pit.

We’ve kitted out the kitchen with a two ring gas stove and basic equipment to cook and eat with. Inside snuggle up on the alpine semi circular bed platform, great for 4 adults, 6 if you really like each other! Don’t forget your sleeping bag & pillow.

About Comrie Croft

Suitable For

Everyone is welcome at Comrie Croft. Families, groups, individuals, dogs, we even host the odd wedding or two!

Campers are welcome to bring tents, roof tents or small campervans, no caravans though.

Nearby

The Strathearn valley has a plethora of sights, activities and attractions to keep you busy. Walkers and hikers are spoiled for choice with miles of paths and two munros within 10 miles of us, Ben Chonzie is even accessible directly from the Croft. Pop into reception for maps and route ideas.

Auchingarrich Wildlife Park, just 4 miles away is a great place to spend the day. Their covered walkways and play barns mean you can visit whatever the weather. Experience everything from holding a little chick, to feeding a lemur, to having a coffee with breathtaking views of the Ochils.

Movie buffs & historians might like a wee trip to Drummond Castle Gardens near Muthill. See where parts of Outlander and Rob Roy were filmed as well as view the famous Victorian gardens.

Those looking for a little adventure - head to Crieff Hydro’s Activity Glen. They have loads to offer, quad biking, high ropes, horse riding, you can even take an alpaca for a walk!

Food & Drink

Apart from our lovely Tea Garden Cafe (open seasonally) and Farm Shop, Comrie and Crieff have a nice selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants.

The Steading in Crieff is a Crofter favourite for lazy breakfasts and lunches. As is Cafe Rhubarb and the Glass Onion.

For chilled family dinners The Towers or The Meadows are great. The Towers even has a kids playground & sitooterie.

The Royal Hotel in Comrie (named after a visit from Queen Victoria in 1842) has their Melville bistro/bar - good for all times of the day.

If you fancy buying local produce, The Crieff Food Company and Hansen’s Kitchen have great selections. You can pick up some takeaways too.

Family Friendly

Adventure-loving families scramble, run and jump this way... Comrie Croft has forest to roam around, mountain bike trails to race along and a small loch. An opportunity to truly embrace the great outdoors from the moment you pitch your tent.
