A stay in one of our boutique eco safari lodges will help you get close to nature and give you the treat of tranquility. The lodges are huge (six metres by nine metres - and three metres high) and can sleep up to six people. They are floor boarded throughout and elevated on timber platform with a veranda. They include full self-catering facilities with running water with electricity and are thoughtfully designed throughout.
All of our lodges feature two bedrooms (king size and twin beds) with beds made up with luxury feather bedding, hotel quality linen, and Welsh made wool blankets. There is an open plan lounge with two stylish sofas which convert to single beds as well as a large wicker storage basket/table with a selection of games. A wood burning stove, Interior lighting from a handcrafted lamp stand and lamp shades all to keep you cosy
The tent also has a kitchen and dining area with electric fridge freezer, furniture that has been designed and made on-site by our resident artisan Glen. The kitchen has a two-burner stove, sink with running cold water, and all the pots, pans and utensils you’ll need and dinningware
Outside, there’s a BBQ/fire pit area, with comfortable campaign chairs. Hurricane oil lamps for a lovely outdoor light ambiance, and solar fairy lights over the veranda.
A basket of firewood, kindling and firelighters are provided for your arrival.
Easch of the safari lodges have their own private facilitites - hot showers & compost loos & a hotwater wash up station , to compliment the flush toilet and shower block in the courtyard.
The price of the pitch includes four guests and one car parking space. Extra adults are charged at £20 (PP/PN/), children at £10 (PP/PN), dogs at £5 PN (max two per pitch). You can also pay for an extra car parking space at £5 per night

Suitable For
Tents & trailer tents, campervans, dogs, groups (prior arrangement), gazebos (with a small extra charge) – yes. Caravans, & motorhomes – no. It's a dog friendly site (up to 2 per pitch) & also we don’t have vehicles in the camping & glamping meadow (unless you book the Friends Power & Park up Pitch), You have to take your stuff with a wheelbarrow .Nearby
The campsite sometimes lays on special events, like guided wildlife walks, through the adjoining 325-acre Ffynone Wood and maps are also provided on your arrival with local routes, including Soo’s Secret Waterfall Trail. The site is directly traversed by a bridleway that leads immediately into the woods. Further afield, nearby attractions include fantastic Cardigan Castle (01239 615131), opened to the public in April 2015 after a massive 12 year restoration project, and The Welsh Wildlife Centre, in the Teifi Marsh Nature Reserve. There's also very easy access to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, the Preseli Hills and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with a particular highlight being the Teifi gorge, fabulous for kayaking and canoeing.Food & Drink
Top of the Woods offers guests hot farmhouse breakfasts at weekends and hosted dinners evenings, all prepared with high quality local produce. They also host pop up restaurants such as wood fired pizzas during school holidays. A mobile fishmonger also visits twice weekly, selling the freshest Welsh seafood. Pub-wise there are two locals. The Nags Head (01239 841200) at Abercych offers seasonal menus, all cooked in house by their chef using the best Welsh ingredients. The Fynnone Arms in Newchapel (01239 841800) does excellent Sunday lunches and specialises in dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan menu options.Extras

- ‘Full refund’ means what you have paid for your holiday to Top of the Woods. If you booked directly with Top of the Woods you will receive a full refund . If you booked your holiday via a 3rd party site (e.g Cool Camping website / Pitch Up/Airbnb ) your ‘full refund’ will exclude any 3rd party commision/payment fees by those agents
- This guarantee can be used up to 24 hours before your check in date (24 hours is defined as 3.30 pm the day before the start of your holiday)
- This guarantee can only be used if the holiday balance has been paid in full.
- This guarantee cannot be used for deposit payments
- This guarantee cannot use be used to get a refund on a reduced holiday stay on the orginal booking
- To use this guarantee the person who made the booking will need to contact Top of the Woods by email or phone to advise us if you want to cancel or move your holiday dates
