The Owner Says

Pitch 4 is a spacious pitch, suitable for all sizes of tent, campervan, motorhome, caravan, trailer tent...

It has partial shade from trees behind it and also partial sun into the evening. Like all the grass pitches, Pitch 4 comes with its own picnic table and you can hire one of our camping fire pits (complete with grill rack for barbecues) for a small charge (you can add this at check-out or ask on site).

VAN/MOTORHOME/CARAVAN campers please note: If you are booking this pitch for early Spring (before May half term) or for Sept/Oct please be aware that on rare occasion, in extremely wet weather, we may need to assess ground conditions on the field. If it becomes too wet to drive on, we will let you know and we will accommodate you on gravel off the field (adjacent to the field edge), where electric hook-up is available.

TENT campers please note: We do not allow pitch-side parking so, once you have set up your tent, you will need to park on the gravel or in the marked bays. We will also allow you to drive onto the field to take down your tent at the end of your stay. At all other times please leave your vehicle in the parking areas. This keeps the camping field peaceful and safe for all of our campers. In the very early and late season, in the event of extremely wet weather, we may need to ask you not to drive onto the field to set up/take down and instead ferry your belongings using the wheelbarrows provided. We will let you know if this is necessary.

We welcome DOGS on all pitches, but they must stay on a lead on the campsite as we have free range chickens (and bare-footed children). Please note: there is a military range about 4 miles away from the campsite and there have been three occasions since we opened in 2017 when nervous dogs have been troubled by the sound of the occasional firing. If you have any concerns please give us a call/email.
