About Damson View Glamping
Damson View Glamping is nestled in the peaceful, picturesque village of Crosthwaite, just a 15-minute drive from Bowness and Lake Windermere. It’s the perfect place to relax, recharge and soak up the beauty of the surrounding countryside.
Unwind in one of our five luxury en-suite glamping pods and take in the breathtaking views across Crosthwaite, Cartmel Fell and Whitbarrow Scar from your own private patio — the ideal spot for a morning coffee or a sunset drink.
Each spacious pod is thoughtfully designed for comfort and style. You’ll find a king-size bed with under-bed storage, a cosy sofa, and all bedding and towels provided. The modern en-suite bathroom features a large walk-in shower, heated towel rail, toilet and basin.
The well-equipped compact kitchen includes a sink, fridge, microwave grill, ceramic hob, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery and utensils, along with a dining table and chairs. All pods are fully heated and include electricity, Smart TV and Wi-Fi, ensuring a comfortable stay whatever the season.
Outside, enjoy your own seating area with a firepit/BBQ — perfect for relaxed evenings under the stars (wood and charcoal available to purchase on site).
For walkers and cyclists, we offer a dedicated drying room for boots and outdoor gear, secure bike storage, and access to a workshop for bike repairs.
We’re also pleased to provide B4RN rural hyperfast broadband.
Complimentary crumpets on arrival and starter tea, coffee, sugar & milk.

Booking Policy
- Adults only
- Check-in: 4pm–10pm
- Check-out: 10am prompt
- Strict No Smoking/Vaping & No Candles
- One well behaved dog is allowed in our Fellside pod only. Your dog must be kept on a lead on campsite at all times and not to be left unattended in the glamping pod. Please do NOT allow your dog onto the furniture. - Please bring along a dog bed and/or blanket.
- All bed linen & towels included
- No stag or hen parties sorry. No large group bookings (no more than 3 pods).
- Parking nearby, one car per pod.
- No campfires. Only Damson View firepit to be used to burn wood. Wood & charcoal are available to buy onsite. Guests' own wood is not permitted.
Cancellation Policy
- A deposit of 15% is needed to secure your booking (all deposits are non refundable). We do not accept provisional bookings so please do not make a booking unless you are in a position to honour it. The balance is due 30 days before your holiday.
- No refunds are available to the customer on any funds paid to the campsite (either the deposit or the balance payment). If the customer fails to pay the balance by 30 days prior to the holiday start date, the deposit will be deemed to be forfeited and the booking cancelled.
- If you need to re-arrange and can give us at least 4 week’s notice before your original check-in date we may be able to change your holiday dates.
