Damson View Glamping is located in a lovely quiet picturesque village called Crosthwaite, a 15 minute drive from Bowness and Lake Windermere.  Relax and unwind in one of our five luxury ensuite glamping pods whilst admiring the stunning views over Crosthwaite, Cartmel Fell and Whitbarrow Scar from your own private patio.

All our spacious luxury pods have a king-size bed (under bed storage) & comfy sofa - sleep 2 (all bedding and towels included).  The ensuite bathroom has a large walk-in shower, heated towel rail, toilet & basin.  The compact kitchen has a sink, fridge, microwave grill, ceramic hob, kettle, toaster, cutlery and utensils.  Dining table and chairs.   All the pods have heating, electric, smart TV, wifi and outside seating.  Firepit/bbq (wood and charcoal available to buy on site).

We have a drying room on site, perfect for drying all your walking gear and hiking boots.  We also have lots of space for bike storage and a workshop which you can use for bike repairs.

We're pleased to say we have B4RN rural hyper fast broadband.

Complimentary crumpets on arrival and starter tea, coffee, sugar & milk.

Booking Policy

  • Adults only
  • Check-in: 4pm–10pm
  • Check-out: 10am prompt
  • Strict No Smoking/Vaping  & No Candles
  • One well behaved dog is allowed in our Fellside pod only. Your dog must be kept on a lead on campsite at all times and not to be left unattended in the glamping pod. Please do NOT allow your dog onto the furniture.  -  Please bring along a dog bed and/or blanket.
  • All bed linen & towels included
  • No stag or hen parties sorry.  No large group bookings (no more than 3 pods).
  • Parking nearby, one car per pod.
  • No campfires. Only Damson View firepit to be used to burn wood. Wood & charcoal are available to buy onsite.  Guests' own wood is not permitted.

Cancellation Policy

  • A deposit of 15% is needed to secure your booking (all deposits are non refundable).  We do not accept provisional bookings so please do not make a booking unless you are in a position to honour it.  The balance is due 30 days before your holiday.
  • No refunds are available to the customer on any funds paid to the campsite (either the deposit or the balance payment). If the customer fails to pay the balance by 30 days prior to the holiday start date, the deposit will be deemed to be forfeited and the booking cancelled.
  • If you need to re-arrange and can give us at least 4 week’s notice before your original  check-in date we may be able to change your holiday dates.
