South Penquite Farm Glamping

We are a two hundred acre family organic beef and sheep farm situated high on Bodmin Moor in the very heart of Cornwall. As well as being a demonstration farm for the Soil Association, we offer camping, yurts and a range of bunkhouse accommodation throughout the year for families, groups hikers or bikers.

There is much to see on the farm which became fully organic in 2001. Since then we have continued to adopt an environmentally sensitive approach including solar heated hot water and rainwater harvesting for the campsite showers, a small wind turbine and a run of solar PV panels on a barn roof.

As well as running the cows and sheep, the farm is exceptionally rich in archaeological remains and wildlife. We also have many horses, ponies, chickens, geese, ducks and of course our faithful working collies without whose help we could not run the farm.

Accommodation

Yurts with stunning views across the moors, and a couple of bunkhouse-type glamping options. There's also a small campsite in a separate meadow on the farm.

Booking Policy

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE: Please do not arrive before 3pm on the day of arrival and you must vacate your Yurt/Bunkhouse by 11am on the day of departure. Under no circumstances should the number in your party exceed the stated capacity of your Yurt/Bunkhouse.

DOGS: No dogs are allowed on site.

ELECTRICITY: There is no power or hook-ups available for campers or Yurts and the use of generators is not permitted on site.

Cancellation Policy

  • A refund will only possible if at least 10 days notice is given of any cancellation.
  • Refunds will be processed within 7 days of the notice less a 10% charge for administration.
  • If your Yurt or Bunkhouse is not available due to fire, flood or any other unforeseen circumstances, the owner cannot accept liability or responsibility, but the payment will be refunded in full.
