Tregonna King Yurt (2 at Cotna Eco Retreat)
UK England South West England Cornwall St. Austell Cotna Eco Retreat
The Owner Says
Inside, you'll find North African rugs, silks and stripped furniture. It is nestled in the corner of its own large & sheltered willow lined field, offering guests the privacy and time to reconnect with the Earth. Like Gilliflower it has an effective stove and warm bedding on the double bed with stove and kitchen equipment provided.
We provide everything you need for a yurt holiday in Cornwall. All our holiday yurts have solar lighting with a warm shower and your own compost loo nearby. There are washing up facilities outside each yurt and a recycling area by the site entrance. There is plenty of space in both fields for camping and additional tents, as well as picnic tables outside each yurt. Two small BBQ’s are in the shed if you would like to cook outside.
Our organic eggs, fruit and veg are available for sale and sourdough bread can be baked to order. We can make up a Cornish vegetarian food hamper for your arrival and delicious food can be provided on request, including special nights for pizzas & authentic home-cooked curries.
The Yurt can accommodate an extra person if required - please select 'Extra Person Supplement' from the extras menu and we will add another single mattress.
Home-Cooked Food
Delicious organic home-grown food is a crucial part of Cotna life; the growing, cooking and eating of it. You can buy food direct from us—the list of seasonal veg and preserves varies. Please see the board outside the barn for current availability. Dried and preserved organic foods such as pasta, rice, lentils, muesli, as well as home-made jams and chutneys are always available.
The food we eat is vegetarian and has a fresh, gourmet, international feel. As we are a vegetarian smallholding we greatly appreciate that you keep the cooking of meat to a minimum. We can cater for vegans and those with special diets (gluten intolerance, diabetic, coeliac, or specific allergies). Please give us notice if you would like to order food. And we have a new pizza oven and an excellent Indian chef!
Bedding – We provide duvets and 4 pillows for the double beds. Please bring sleeping bags for the single beds if possible and your own towels.
Lighting – LED’s and solar lights
Heating – woodburners, run on our own sourced wood; the first box is supplied free and further boxes are available for sale for £3 or £5, though you are also welcome to bring in your own wood supplies.
