That’s the lovely morning experience that awaits for guests at Portesham Pods, a quiet little site in the Dorset National Landscape. Of course, it’s not just in the mornings that you’ll be able to appreciate the lake – you might also like to sit out on your large waterside deck in the evening with some snacks and drinks, or maybe take the rowing boat out for a spin to take a closer look at the wildlife that lives in and around the water. In such a vibrant natural setting, it’s probably no surprise that the site owners have chosen to make their pods as eco-friendly as possible. That means they're off grid, with solar panels for electricity and LPG for gas, and created from sustainable materials including a living roof.

Booking Policy
- Check-in: 15:00-22:00
- Check-out: 10:00
- No dogs are permitted on site
- Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
- Please be aware of the large body of water by the pods and supervise children at all times
- Bed linen are not provided as standard, so please don't forget to bring your own or book them as an added extra
- Please do not swim in the water - it could harm all the baby fish swimming there
- We are a beef farm with a lot of cows! Please uo not enter the cow field, but feel free to go and say hello over the fence if they are close.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made more than 30 days before the holiday start date will be subject to your 30% non-refundable deposit paid
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the holiday start date will not be refunded
- We suggest you take out the necessary holiday insurance to cover any losses
