Situated just a couple of miles from the charming town of Hay on Wye and a short drive from the Brecon Beacons National Park, Heart of the Wye offers a unique glamping experience in a beautiful and convenient rural location.  Overlooking the border between Hereford and Wales, your tent will have a spectacular view of the rolling fields and orchards of the Golden Valley.

With 5 comfortable and stylish Nomadic Yurt tents, it is the perfect spot to relax, unwind and recharge.  Whether you come with family, friends or for a romantic retreat, to walk, cycle, canoe, or to read a book by a campfire as the sun sets, there is something special for everyone.

We are very proud to announce that this year (2024) we have won a Visit England ROSE award for excellence in service.  We are a quality assessed Glamping site and one of only a handful to win this accolade for Glamping this year.

Booking Policy

  • Check in: 15:00 - 20:00
  • Check out: 10:00
  • Well behaved dogs are permitted on site in our pet friendly tents, please make sure they are kept on a lead at all times and clean up after them.
  • All bed linen is included in the price, but we do not provide towels so please don't forget to bring yours.
  • Please be aware we keep bees on our small holding. Please remember to bring any necessary medication if you have allergies.
  • The campsite terrain can be uneven and slippery. We recommend you bring suitable footwear and a torch for moving around at night.
  • Please respect your fellow campers and keep noise to a minimum from 22:00 and be quiet from 23:00-07:00
  • Access to the campsite carpark is restricted between the hours of 23:00 and 07:00.  If you plan on travelling between these hours, we can offer alternative parking.
  • Please ask Taxis to drop off/pick up behind Walkers Cottage away from neighbouring houses.
  • Campfires are permitted in the fire pits provided only - no other fires are allowed.

Cancellation Policy


  • Cancellations made more than 28 days before the holiday start date will be subject to your 40% non-refundable deposit paid.
  • Cancellations made within 28 days of the holiday start date will not be refunded.
  • We suggest you to take out the necessary holiday insurance to cover any losses.
