The Owner Says

Located at the Southern end of the campsite, in a gorgeous secluded position at the edge of the ancient woodland, and close to the hot tub, this traditional Sioux Tipi is a beautiful sight to see.
You have your own compost loo & washstand near to the tent, and a secluded private outdoor area with fire pit, seating, and hammock. Robin Tipi is fairly close to Tawny bell. (If you wanted to book more than one tent, and come with another family, Tawny & Robin make a good fit).  Great showers and a large fully equipped communal kitchen are not far away. You have a small BBQ to use by your fire pit, and the communal wood fired pizza oven is available to use too.
You also have use of the wood fired hot tub (shared between 4 tents), book a time slot on arrival. (Extra costs apply for wood for the pizza oven and hot tub)
Your Tipi has ample room for 4 people; one king sized bed and two singles mattresses either side.  king sized feather duvet and pillows provided.  (You will need to bring your own pillow cases and bed linen).
You will be shown on arrival how to use the smoke flaps for the wood burning stove in your tipi.
There are paths around the woods to explore and many footpaths right on your doorstep. Wild swimming or paddling in the River Wye, just 20 mins walk away. We have 3 traditional country pubs in walking distance/a short drive away. Lots of local canoeing companies close by to arrange a day or half a days paddle on the River Wye.  The Forest of Dean is 40 mins away for horse riding, Go Ape, hiring bikes, picnics by the lakes, hiking etc.  The Malvern Hills are 40 mins away too for great walking and exploring. Hay on Wye the famous book town is also 40 mins away.. with great vintage shops and cafes.

Family Friendly

Apart from falling off a tree swing, or tripping over a guy rope, there’s little for even the most anxious of parents to worry about here. A ‘no cars inside the campsite’ policy means kids of all ages can dash about willy-nilly. Running wild in the woods, making dens, swinging on old tyres and rope ladders. Making home-made biscuits in the clay oven. Playing in the sand-pit. Pushing your friends around in a wheelbarrow.
