About Craigend Farm Glamping Pods

Craigend Farm Luxury Pods are set on the outskirts of Dumfries with spectacular countryside views. We are on a small working farm and have the benefit of being on the edge of town for local amenities. Dumfries and Galloway is a beautiful part of Scotland with an undulating coastline of rocky shoreline and sandy beaches, whilst inland, there are acres of forest and green spaces. Our central location makes us an ideal base to explore the area. Dumfries town is steeped in history and is a perfect base for Robert Burns enthusiasts.
The pristine pods have a tremendous amount cleverly packed into them: each has a king-size bed, a sofa for chilling and a fully fitted kitchen with all crockery and utensils provided. There is a breakfast bar with chairs for dining with a mounted TV and blue tooth music system. The bedroom has bunk beds (the top one designed for kids) and the compact shower room also has a sink, toilet and heated towel rail for a bit of extra comfort. Each pod is fully insulated, double glazed and has underfloor heating to keep you cosy all year round.
All bed linen and towels are provided, and lots of thought has gone into adding touches like hanging areas for clothes, shaving mirrors and welcome packs with biscuits and snacks.
Each pod has its own patio with a barbecue (stock up in Dumfries) and bench seating – where better to sit back and enjoy the stunning views or admire star-studded skies on clear nights? Or perhaps you would prefer the sheltered seating in front of the pods, cosy spots where you can enjoy an early morning cuppa as the sun rises or a little nightcap after sundown?
Your gear is taken care of too, with a secure storage unit for any bikes, fishing equipment and walking shoes.

- Check-in: Anytime after 3pm
- Check-out: 10:00
- Regrettably no dogs/pets are permitted on site.
- Please be mindful of surrounding area/other guests and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm
- All bedding and towels are provided.
- This is a working farm and we ask that you please respect the no entry signage in place for your safety.
- We also ask that you enjoy looking at the animals in the fields but please do not feed them.
- No smoking/vaping in the pod
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made more than 30 days before the holiday start date will be subject to your 30% deposit paid.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the holiday start date will not be refunded.
- We suggest you take out the necessary holiday insurance to cover any losses.

Spotless, Comfortable, and Perfectly Equipped for a Family Escape
Our family had a fantastic stay at the Craigend Farm glamping pods. We woke up to breathtaking countryside views right from our cozy, spotless pods. The host was highly accommodating and provided all the thoughtful touches needed for a seamless stay, including comfortable beds, clean towels, a fully stocked set of utensils, an oven, a microwave, and a toaster. Our days were perfectly spent enjoying scenic nature walks, relaxing outdoors, and getting to see adorable alpacas up close. Since we were lucky with the weather, having access to the BBQ was a super addition for our evening family meals. It is a highly recommended spot for a comfortable and scenic getaway!
Beautiful location and high quality facilites
We really loved our long weekend stay. We took our 4 year old who loved the bunk beds and settled in straight away. We had amazing weather and got to make the most of the BBQ facilites and sitting out on the deck until late. The cabins themselves are wonderfully presented and very comfortable and well equipped, cant wait to visit again and explore more! (We recommend Drumlanrig Castle grounds and Dalscone farm, both have great kids facilities)

Cleanliness, everything you need and more, thoughtful touches and well laid out, first experience of a pod and one of the best holiday experiences we have had. Hope to return. The area is abound with abbeys, castles, nice towns, places of interest and they are all not too far away, so is a really good base.
Fantastic family trip!!
1 adult and 2 children visited during the easter holidays and already cannot wait to go back. Stayed for 3 nights and it was a delight to walk in to the glamping pod. A lovely welcome package was left and the pod was perfect. The pod is homely and warm, the best part.......sunrise views with a coffee!! Highly recommend and look forward to another visit.

Everything was perfect. The pod was immaculate, warm, comfy and the view was simply stunning!!!! We had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped. I would love to stay here again! 🥰

The loveliest pod ever!
Just back from 2 nights at Craigend Farm Glamping pods. The pod is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and has amazing attention to detail. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and our 9 year old loved the chocolate bunny! The pod is in such a lovely location with beautiful views over the countryside. It was lovely watching the lambs jumping around in the fields. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and will definitely be back!
Perfect family getaway
We have just returned from our second stay at the Woolly Sheep. Anyone wanting away from their busy life to somewhere tranquil and peaceful then this is your place. The pods are immaculate and with a thoughtful welcome basket of goodies to greet you. There is everything you need and the most comfy beds to sleep in. Locally there is so much to do and see within a short drive. As a family we love coming here and will be back again. Thank you for an amazing escape.

Fantastic family get away
We have a very active 18 month old who loved to look at the views and explore. This was the perfect family holiday for us as there was beautiful surrounding areas with lots to do from farms for children to woodland walks. The accomodation was lovely to relax in the evenings and our 18 month old enjoyed playing in the pod and experiencing the lower bunk bed that she safely slept in. Very thoughtful host that provided us with everything we needed.
Lovely place
I’ve stayed in quite a few Glamping pods now and this is my favourite. The pod is very well equipped, the kids loved the bunk beds and we loved that they were at the back part and separated so we could sit in the living room without keeping the kids awake as it was dark for them despite us having the lights on in the Tv area. The views are lovely, it was peaceful and quiet except the sheep were so noisy one night but it was really really funny! The host was really helpful and accommodating and there was lots of info about things to do locally. We all loved it thank you!

The glamping pods at Craigend Farm are fantastic - the owners have really considered every detail for guests' comfort. We had everything we needed for a short stay, and enjoyed the tranquil spot with the amazing view across the valley. The double bed was very comfortable. We really appreciated the cleanliness and everything being in perfect working order. Top marks!!

Pod was lovely and warm when we arrived. Welcome pack was a lovely touch and certainly enjoyed our Iron-bru and shortbread being lovers of Scotland. Very clean and cosy. Host Anne was especially kind who made sure we was comfortable throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to explore the area or just want a peaceful getaway with stunning views.
