The Owner Says

Embark on a polar expedition of comfort and adventure with “The Igloo,” our latest innovative addition to Apple Camping. This geodesic dome blends the thrill of arctic exploration with the warmth and luxury of modern glamping.

Nestled within its unique structure, The Igloo boasts insulation, underfloor heating, and a cozy wood burner, ensuring a snug haven no matter the weather outside. Access to this ‘winter wonderland’ is ingeniously designed through a tunnel door opening into a spacious 6.8-meter geodome. Inside, you’re greeted by a rich, dark mahogany-colored floor that beautifully contrasts with the furnishings, creating an ambiance of relaxation and a space to unwind.

Elevate your stay—literally—in our bespoke skybunk, offering two double beds with one positioned aloft, allowing you to gaze out of the dome’s portholes at the star-studded sky above. This elevated nook not only provides a unique vantage point but also adds an element of adventure to your rest.

The Igloo doesn’t just stop at offering a magical sleeping experience; it also features a private bathroom ensuite and a compact kitchen complete with a coffee bar, blending convenience with luxury. Step outside to your private area, where an inviting firepit awaits, perfect for cozy evenings spent under the stars or sharing stories of the day’s adventures.

“The Igloo” at Apple Camping offers an unparalleled glamping experience, where the spirit of polar exploration meets the comforts of home in a setting that’s both enchanting and exclusive. Whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway, a family adventure, or simply a retreat from the everyday, The Igloo promises an escape into a world where the wonders of the arctic come alive, right here in the heart of nature’s splendor.

Nearby

Owner Toby has sent his life round these parts and is never short of recommendations. Just ask if you want some local advice. For families, Manor House Wildlife Park (01646 651201) offers a chance to explore the globe – head down to the African Village where you can walk with lemurs or trek through the wallaby enclosure in the Australian bush. Back in Britain, the nearby harbour town of Tenby is a cute little spot, with ferries running out to Caldy Island, or try the harbour in Saundersfoot where there is also a sandy, blue flag beach. Freshwater West, meanwhile, was the filing location for Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows and Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood, while Barafundle Bay was recently voted the best beach in Wales.

Food & Drink

The family-friendly, Parsonage Farm Inn (01834 871436) in the village of St Florence (2¼ miles) is an excellent local pub, while the Sun (01834 871322), also in St Florence, is a traditional picture-postcard pub full of local memorabilia.
