ConTENTed

UK Wales Mid Wales Ceredigion Nantgwynfaen Organic Farm Camping

  • Sleeps 2 (max 2 adults, 1 children)
  • Barbecue
  • Dogs Allowed
This is a circular garden pitch suitable for a small tent, surrounded by shrubbery and a hedge with views over the pink geraniums to the West. Ideally placed for additional guests staying in the Glamavan and Sun of a Pitch.

The Owner Says

ConTENTed is the smallest pitch at Nantgwynfaen, but its elevated westerly facing position makes it a bright and ideal pitch for 1 or 2 guests.  It feels intimate and private, surrounded by garden shrubs and hedges, but there is surprisingly enough space for a medium tent.  Please note that if you would like a campfire too, it will be only be possible if your tent is smaller - due to space constraints (3m distance must be maintained between tent and fire). Please call us if you are concerned about this.  Please note that it is not possible to have the car adjacent to the pitch.  It can be parked a short distance away in the main carpark.

Nuts and bolts:

Up to 2 campers

Children Welcome

Pets Welcome NB must be kept on a lead at all times

Open 1 Mar – 1 Nov

Nantgwynfaen Organic Farm is a very special place. It is a working farm with sheep and sometimes cattle in the summer. It is just so peaceful – a place to unwind and listen to the birds. Each camping pitch is carefully laid out in their own private space with only the green countryside to soak up. It is a quiet family-friendly site suitable for families, couples, retired couples and anyone who just loves the great outdoors. BBQs & Campfires welcome and each pitch has a firepit.

There is a large games barn, with table tennis, pool and a darts board (bring your own darts).  The farm shop is well stocked with local and organic produce as well as charcoal and firewood. Dogs are most welcome.

The communal toilet and shower facilities are located on the farmyard in a stylish zinc building, where there is free hot water. There is a dish washing sink and drainer, an open-air wash hand basin for face, teeth and hands; a shower cubicle with a quirky watering can shower; and a toilet and sink cubicle.  There is a fridge and a freezer for freezing blocks.  Note: some camping pitches have private toilet and shower facilities (Sun of a Pitch, Love at First Site & I Got 99 Problems But A Pitch Ain’t One).

The farm is well situated for exploring Cardigan Bay, with Aberaeron to Cardigan; and Carmarthen to Lampeter all within a half hour drive.  The River Teifi, Newcastle Emlyn, The National Woollen Museum are all very local.

There is a village shop and gastro pub nearby. Shops and fuel in Llandysul and Newcastle Emlyn is conveniently located with all amenities.

As well as the camping pitches at Nantgwynfaen there is other accommodation available for those who want a break from canvas.  For glamping there is The Glamavan (the retro chic static caravan which sleeps up to 5).  Ty Nodyn is a quirky cottage on the farmyard with a 'piano bed', a ship’s ladder and log burner (sleeps 3+1) and the log cabin - Ty Mamgu (Grandma's House) is a romantic retreat for 2 with a real piano and cosy log burner.  There is also accommodation in the stone farmhouse where you will find a double room with a sweet adjoining private kitchen called Y Parlwr Bach (the little parlour).  There is also a second double bedroom (room only), The Room At The Top (so a maximum of 4 can sleep in the farmhouse).  Contact Nantgwynfaen direct discuss the options.
