Laurel Cottage is an adults-only, dog-friendly retreat in West Wales. A super comfy super-king size bed, walk-in shower, and calm interiors make it easy to switch off. Outside, the fully enclosed garden is perfect for dogs, with a fire pit and a star-gazing spot for slow, cosy evenings.

The Owner Says

Laurel Cottage is set up for comfort without fuss. The kitchen is fully-equipped with everything you could need, a real home-from-home. There’s a sense of ease to the space — calm, warm, and thoughtfully finished — so you can arrive, relax, and settle in quickly. The walk-in shower makes post-beach rinses a delight and a sumptuously deep corner bath is perfect for those longer 'me-time' evenings.  The cottage is designed with couples in mind; private, peaceful, and just the right size for two.
Step outside and you’ll see one of Laurel Cottage’s best features: a fully enclosed garden, so your dog can potter, sniff, and sunbathe safely while you take your time with a coffee or a glass of something cold. As the light fades, the garden becomes the heart of the stay. There’s a dedicated star-gazing area where you can wrap up warm and watch the sky change, and an outdoor fireplace for evenings that stretch a little longer than planned — the kind where conversation slows, shoulders drop, and you remember what it feels like to do nothing at all.
Laurel Cottage is also perfectly placed for exploring Ceredigion and the edges of Pembrokeshire: wild beaches, coastal paths, quiet lanes, and dog-friendly spots to eat and wander. But you don’t have to go anywhere if you don’t want to. This is a cottage for switching off — for reading, resting, cooking something simple, and letting the days be led by weather, tides, and mood.
Come for the coastline, the calm, and the night skies. Leave feeling properly reset.

About Glanmedeni

Suitable For

Our exclusively adults cottage is a secluded and peaceful retreat.  A haven for watching the wildlife - we have a bird-watching diary, or watching the stars - the total blackout at night can give you the most amazing views of the universe with the naked eye.  The area is perfect for walking, hiking, painting and drawing, exploring, wild swimming and so much more.

Nearby

We are perfectly positioned in Southern Ceredigion.  Just a few minutes from the rugged West Wales coastline.  From windswept isolated coves to some of the most beautiful, sandy beaches the United Kingdom has to offer. The recently renovated Ceredigion Coast Path is a walkers’ paradise.  Just south of us are the Preseli Mountains, where the Stonehenge standing stones originated from.  The surrounding area has stunning views across Cardigan Bay and further afield across the Irish sea.  The area is steeped in magical Celtic history and fables.  There are a huge variety of historical places, ancient woodlands and neolithic burial grounds to explore.  We have industrial museums, cheese manufacturing, gin distilling, pilgrimage walks and smokehouses on the doorstep and plenty of more adventurous activities just a little further afield.

Food & Drink

You won't be stuck for fabulous places to eat and drink in the area.  There is a tremendous selection to suit all tastes and budgets.  Important mentions go to "The Plwmp Tart" at Penbryn beach, “Crwst” in Cardigan, "In the Welsh Wind" gin distillery at Tan-y-groes and "The Buoy Ashore" at Aberporth beach (summer only.)
