The Owner Says

The pitches on The Dell are arranged around the outside of the camping area with a large central area for children to play. There is no vehicular access to the pitches but we can help with transport of your equipment down to the site. Please note that there are steps/a slope to access the showers and clubhouse facilities. 2 x composting sit-down urinals are available on The Dell for convenience but the main toilets are located a short walk away on the Glade camping area or in the clubhouse. Due to the nature of the walk (several steps/slope this area is not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties).
The Barn is situated on the Dell as is a great facility for when the weather is less than ideal. There are communal fridges/freezers and mobile phone charging lockers.

About Roundwood Dell

Suitable For

Our lower ‘Dell’ camping area is car-free but don’t worry – our team of friendly staff will be on hand to help you take your tents and equipment down to the site using our onsite ‘gator’. Please be aware though, there are several steps or a slope up to the showers/bar and restaurant area and car park so this area is not suitable for everyone particularly those with mobility issues. There are 10 grass pitches with electric hook up and water. The Barn is also located in this area.

Our upper ‘Glade’ camping area has just 7 pitches, 3 of which are gravel-based and can accommodate campervans/small motorhomes (up to 7m). We also accept trailer tents/roof-top tents on these pitches. However, please note, we do not have any facilities to dispose of chemical toilet waste or grey water. There is a short walk to the showers but there are no steps involved. The car park is just next door to this area.

Caravans are not permitted anywhere on the site.

Well-behaved dogs are permitted on all areas of the campsite but must be kept on a lead at all times due to the presence of protected wildlife at the site.
