Fieldhead Campsite

Fieldhead Campsite, Edale, Hope Valley, Derbyshire S33 7ZA      07838 801 404

Fieldhead Campsite sits in the heart of Edale village, at the foot of Kinder Scout and at the start (or Southern end) of the Pennine Way national trail. It offers direct access onto the fells, making it an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and anyone keen to spend time outdoors. The campsite is a small, tent-only site with 45 pitches, tucked just behind the Peak District National Park Moorland Centre.

If being outdoors is what you’re looking for, you’ll feel right at home here. Fieldhead is a peaceful campsite that welcomes those who want to enjoy nature at a slower pace - whether that’s hill walking, climbing, mountain biking, or simply sitting outside with a book and taking in the surroundings. Mobile signal is limited across the site, making it easier to switch off and properly unwind.

Despite its quiet setting, the village of Edale has plenty to offer, with two well-loved pubs, cafés and a general store all within easy walking distance. The surrounding landscape provides stunning scenery and walking routes for all abilities, from gentle valley strolls to more challenging upland adventures.

Fieldhead is a quiet campsite in the centre of a small village, and guests choose to stay here for the calm and tranquil atmosphere. To help preserve this, we ask all campers to respect the site and each other. Please note:

· We cannot accommodate large family or friend groups (more than 5 adults).

· Organised groups, including Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, are welcome but must contact us directly before booking.

· Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7:30am. Amplified music is not permitted on site at any time.

· Fires are strictly prohibited. Disposable and charcoal barbecues are not allowed; gas stoves are welcome.
