One small (non-electric) grass tent pitch in one of six small camping fields based around the back of the Peak District National Park Visitor Centre. We are a quiet site, set in the perfect location for walking or cycling and welcomes everyone that wants to experience the outdoors. There is limited signal on site so you can really escape from the hustle and bustle of outside world and holiday in peace. This is the ideal pitch for anyone who wants a small quiet base to enjoy the outdoors.
This booking does not include parking for any vehicles, so is ideal for those who are backpacking, walking the Pennine Way, bike packing or are arriving in Edale via public transport. If you wish to bring a car please select a pitch that includes a car in the booking, if there are not available then we have no car parking spaces available for your chosen dates. Max stay 8 nights. Please note that 1 pitch = 1 tent.
Please note that unfortunately there are no campfires, or BBQ's allowed on site, only gas powered stoves.

We unfortunately do not accept large family or friend groups.
Duke of Edinburgh groups are welcome but please contact us directly by email or phone.
We are a quiet site, so no loud music or partying. No noise at all between 10pm and 7.30am to allow families and those off on adventures to get a good nights sleep.
We only have a very small car park so perfect for backpackers, those on bike packing adventures or travelling by train. If you do want to bring a car you will have to book a car pitch, please note there is no parking next to the tents.
By enquiry only; we do accept small short wheel base Campervans to camp in the car park during quiet periods. Please contact us directly to book.

PERFECT AS A BASE FOR OUTDOOR ADVENTURES...
Being at the foot of Kinder Scout, and the start (or Southern end) of the Pennine Way, it is a popular location for hikers and mountain bikers. .
AND ONLY A SHORT DRIVE AWAY...
You can find Castleton Caves just over the hill. And well known climbing areas such as Stanage Edge, Millstone Edge and Burbage.
Ladybower Reservoir is also not far, with bike hire facilities available there or at the Bike Garage in Bamford, its a great place for a mountain biking trip or with easy access walking for all the family.
So whether it is walking, running, climbing, mountain biking, road cycling, caving or simply pottering round scenic villages then you'll find it all here not far from Fieldhead Campsite in Edale.
IF YOU'RE NOT FEELING ADVENTUROUS...
The campsite is a small quiet site where you can sit and relax, read a book, listen to the sounds of the river or watch the wildlife. Or if you fancy a potter around quaint villages then there are plenty to choose from;
Castleton is just over the hill, a short drive away or a nice circular walk, where you can explore many of the impressive caverns and shop for the precious Blue John stone that is mined there.
There is the hustle bustle of the outdoor centre of Hathersage, where you can shop for your outdoor gear and grab a bite to eat in the many pubs and cafes.
Or if you fancy more of a market town then the lovely village Bakewell is the place for you.
Chatsworth estate isn't a long drive away if the weather isn't great you can explore the grand house, gardens and farm shop.
As well as Haddon Hall, Buxton Pavilion, Matlock Bath and many more places all less than an hour away.
