The Owner Says

The Crook of the River Circle pitches are situated in the far bottom corner of the site at the bottom of a grass slope. This the furthest point  away from the facilities and proves very popular with customers because of it's proximitiy to the river (even though it's not accessible) and also gives a feel of even more seclusion from the rest of the site encircled by the meadow until mid/end July when the field is cut and recently planted saplings.
Onsite facilities  located in the static caravan (1 Shower & 2 toilets) can be used along with additional toilets located in the wooden huts.  The static also has a small shop, stocked with local produce and visitor information.

Nearby

From the top of the private farm track it's a pleasant 30 minute walk to Warkworth Castle (01665 711423). The impressive cross-shaped keep, rising above the River Coquet, dominates one of the strongest fortresses in England. It presides over the remains of a great hall, chapel, fine gatehouse and a virtually intact circuit of towered walls. Half a mile from the castle and accessible only by boat, stands a late medieval cave. Overshadowed by trees on the north bank of the River Coquet, Warkworth Hermitage is part of the Manor of Warkworth, built as a chantry chapel during the period 1332-49. Paddle boarding, coasteering and kayaking can all be experienced with Adventure Northumberland (01665 602925) a little further up the coast or why not book yourself a surf lesson with Northside Surf School (01665 713146.) Further afield, historic Alnwick with its galleries, garden, Bailiffgate Museum (01665 605847) and magnificent castle (01665 511100), is eight miles (20 minutes' drive) away.
