The Owner Says

Our EHU pitches are located in the large grass area directly behind the main property as you arrive at Walkmill, close to the main facilities and onsite shop which are located inside the static caravan. Some of these pitches have open views across the meadow. There are 4, 16 amp double hook up points which service the touring pitches. The pitches can comfortably accommodate single / twin axles plus awning, Motorhomes up to 7.5 /8m,  Campervans with awnings.  There is a drinking water tap and a chemical disposal point. Due to the limited number of facilities that we have on site, we ask that caravans, motorhomes and campervans with their own facilities do use them. There are 4 toilets , 1 hot shower and 2 eco showers, plus various portable shower options on site. Our shop, stocks  local produce from R Green & Son (Butchers- Longframlington), Northumberland Cheese, Northumbrian Bakehouse, Mocha Mondo Coffee, Bari Tea, Buston Farm as well as additional essentials and some sweet treats. Inside the static there are also rooms with a reference library which showcases what Northumberland has to offer, details of local walks, bike rides etc so you can plan your stay.  Please note that the access to our site is down a steep gravel path. This doesn't present an issue for Motorhomes or campervans but it is more suited for caravans that are pulled  by a 4WD or cars with larger engines.

The impressive cross-shaped keep, rising above the River Coquet, dominates one of the strongest fortresses in England. It presides over the remains of a great hall, chapel, fine gatehouse and a virtually intact circuit of towered walls. Half a mile from the castle and accessible only by boat, stands a late medieval cave. Overshadowed by trees on the north bank of the River Coquet, Warkworth Hermitage is part of the Manor of Warkworth, built as a chantry chapel during the period 1332-49. Paddle boarding, coasteering and kayaking can all be experienced with Adventure Northumberland (01665 602925) a little further up the coast or why not book yourself a surf lesson with Northside Surf School (01665 713146.) Further afield, historic Alnwick with its galleries, garden, Bailiffgate Museum (01665 605847) and magnificent castle (01665 511100), is eight miles (20 minutes' drive) away.
