The Holmsted Himalayas Bell Tent site is situated in a peaceful corner of the West Sussex countryside. We are fortunate enough to be surrounded by lush countryside of woodland, lakes, with many country places of interest within a short distance, including the National Trust's Nymans Gardens, which is only 2 miles from the campsite.
Our bell tents offer a great, hassle free alternative to normal camping with each tent equipped with Z-beds, soft bedding, tables, cutlery and lighting. At the moment, we have 10 tents spread out across our site, as well as our brand new communal stretch tent - here you'll find the communal fridges, kettles and access to mains power to charging your (and your children's!) devices. We do not permit campervans, caravans or bring your own tents; however we do have a Caravan and Motorhome Club Site here at the farm - check out our website for more information!
A walk of approximately 35 minutes from the campsite through woods and down little lanes will take you to the village of Staplefield where you can enjoy a drink or a meal at the lovely Victory Inn in Staplefield - from here, you can take a longer walk through to Nymans National Trust property.If you're after a little bit of luxury, peace and quiet, wild swimming, stargazing, campfires, woodland walks, cream teas, walks through botanic gardens, paddleboarding at Ardingly reservoir, or wine tasting at the nearby Bolney wine estate, then come and camp with us here at The Himalayas!

Booking Policy
The Holmsted Himalayas
- Weekends: require at minimum 2 night stay
- Bank holidays: we require a minimum 3 night stay
- Cancellation fees apply
- Check from 14:00 until 18:00 (19:00 on Fridays)
- Check out by 10:00
- Linen, pillows, duvets are provided; please note campers will need to bring their own towels and tea towels
- All bell tents have 4 beds (1 double/2 singles) for 4 people. Extra beds are charged at £25 per night
- No dogs unfortunately
- Please follow sign posts through the farm yard, do not wander into the farm yard where there might moving farm machinery
- If you are booking for more than one bell tent, please email us at bookings@holmstedfarm.co.uk before booking so we can discuss your needs. It's important that we know otherwise we may not be able to allocate adjacent tents.
- A deposit is taken in case of damage to furnishings.
Cancellation Policy
- If you cancel more than 4 weeks before your arrival date you will lose 50% of the total payment.
- If you cancel less than 4 weeks before your arrival date you will lose your full payment.
- If you book via a third party organisation (such as Cool Camping) and not directly via our website they may have additional terms and conditions related to your booking. We are only able to apply our refund policy to the portion of the booking fee we receive from the third party organisation and are not responsible for refunding any of their fees, commissions or charges.
