About Kingsmead Centre

A traditional campsite set in the beautiful Blackdown Hills AONB. Set into the valley it offers secluded woodland, large grass and hardstanding pitches for tourers as well as our luxury glamping options of a woodland yurt, & Lotus Belle Tents. Pets, campfires and children all welcome. Please be prepared to follow our 'no music' policy and current guidance on social distancing during your stay.

Booking Policy

  • Please ensure that you book the correct pitch for your unit - it may not be possible to amend bookings if you book the wrong pitch type.
  • As a quiet, family site we operate a no music policy & ask for quiet after 9pm (10pm at weekends). Please be prepared to respect this during your stay.
  • Pedestrian access from the overflow meadow to the main site involves a stile and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
  • No caravans or motorhomes longer than 7.5m please. No twin-axle vehicles.
  • Check in from 2pm for camping and 4pm for self-catering. Last arrivals 8pm – no early or late arrivals without prior arrangement. Check out by 10am
  • Bookings for persons under the age of 18 years will only be accepted if guaranteed by a parent, and at our discretion
  • Group bookings are only taken at our discretion
  • Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not to be left unattended at anytime

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policy:

No refunds within 7 days of arrival date.

Refund for cancellations (Not including commission to Cool Camping, which is non-refundable):

  • 55–29 days before arrival 50%
  • 28–22 days before arrival 30%
  • 21–15 days before arrival 20%
  • 14–7 days before arrival 10%

If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible.
