The addition of the Roundhouses is an exciting time for Lower Hill Campsite, providing year round, bespoke staycations for 4 (2 adults, 2 children), with exclusive kitchen and cloakroom facilities and a real log burner.
The Roundhouse is a beautiful, wooden clad structure, blending in with the historic Wenlock Edge. It differs from the traditional Yurt, in that it has kitchen and separate cloakroom. The Roundhouse has an air of luxury, looking out over the Shropshire countryside to the Welsh border with a full height, picture window. Ideal for a romantic getaway, a family break or just for you.
The Roundhouse has a double bed (made up for your arrival), a bed settee with bottom sheet (no pillows) and a single mattress (bedding can be added in 'extras' on booking). The real log burner has its first set of kindling and box of logs provided (more can be purchased from the onsite Honesty shop). There's a table and chairs, TV, bedside lamp, oil radiator and a well equipped kitchen, as follows;
Kitchen sink (with hot water) and drainer, microwave, hob, fridge, electric kettle and toaster.
2 saucepans, a frying pan, 6 sets of crockery, 4 tumblers/ wine glasses, 2 egg cups, chopping board, cutlery, cruet set, tea towel, hand towel, dish cloth, washing up liquid, kitchen cleaner, cork screw/ bottle opener and bin.
An internal cloakroom has a flushing toilet and basin with hot water. The shower block is a short walk away, please use the paths provided. Please bring torches, lighting is mainly solar to preserve the dark sky.
Two of the roundhouse, choices 3 and 4, have optional wood fired hot tubs. External features include a small gas BBQ and picnic table.

Suitable For
Rita has dedicated pitches for tents, campervans and caravans. The Lower Hill Campsite is terraced to enable the variety of different pitch sizes. There is a dedicated field site for non-electric family sized tents with the option of group bookings. Rita welcomes well behaved dogs but requires them to be kept on a lead please, Lower Hill Campsite is situated on a working livestock farm with free range poultry and children. Adjoining the campsite are extensive rambling opportunities along the noted National Trust Wenlock Edge.

The local market town of Much Wenlock, home of the modern Olympics, is a three mile walk away from the campsite, along the natural woodland of Wenlock Edge, Much Wenlock Tourist Information and Visitor Guide (visitmuchwenlock.co.uk). A fifteen minute drive takes you to the World Heritage site of Ironbridge, the birth of the Industrial Revolution. Telford (just fifteen minutes beyond Ironbridge) has many activities to offer, including a dry ski slope, a skating rink, a multi-plex cinema, and a large shopping centre. Telford is also the home of the nearest train station, and national bus route.
