The Owner Says

"The Bullrush" is a situated a third of a mile away from the main camping and glamping site (accessible by car). There are field gates to open and shut, please keep dogs on a lead, due to the presence of livestock in the fields.
"The Bullrush" has a wood fired hot tub and a poolside breakfast bar, with rustic stools, so you can enjoy the early morning sunrise and evening sunsets, in your own secluded, peace and quiet. For the lovers of the outdoors, "The Bullrush" has a fire pit, picnic bench and small gas BBQ which enables you to enjoy being by the poolside, morning, noon and night.
The essence of "The Bullrush" is an 'off grid' experience, having solar lighting and power, including USB point. The hot running water, for the kitchen unit and the bathroom, is heated by gas. A gas hob and solar powered fridge means catering is as easy as 'home from home', maintaining the ease of modern facilities. Inside the cabin is a real log burner, comfy chairs and fold-up table. The bed is made-up, ready for your arrival, plus the hot tub pre-heated. Included in the price of your stay are gas, bottled drinking water, kindling and 2 boxes of logs. The kitchen has crockery and cutlery for two, cruet set, two saucepans, a frying pan, tea towel, hand towel, dish cloth, bin, washing up liquid, kitchen cleaner and welcome pack.
On the main site, a woodfired pizza oven is set in its own hut, with pizzas available to purchase. The Honesty shop is well stocked with BBQ essentials, free range eggs and a variety of other essentials.
Please note, the current terms and conditions of the campsite do apply to "The Bullrush", although it is a distance from the main site. Fishermen, from the main site, will have access to the pool during the day from 8.30am until 7pm.
*The Bullrush has a USB point for your technology, but there is NO toaster, TV or microwave oven, please bring your own torches and towels.

About Lower Hill Campsite

Suitable For

Rita has dedicated pitches for tents, campervans and caravans. The Lower Hill Campsite is terraced to enable the variety of different pitch sizes. There is a dedicated field site for non-electric family sized tents with the option of group bookings. Rita welcomes well behaved dogs but requires them to be kept on a lead please, Lower Hill Campsite is situated on a working livestock farm with free range poultry and children. Adjoining the campsite are extensive rambling opportunities along the noted National Trust Wenlock Edge.

Nearby

The local market town of Much Wenlock, home of the modern Olympics, is a three mile walk away from the campsite, along the natural woodland of Wenlock Edge, Much Wenlock Tourist Information and Visitor Guide (visitmuchwenlock.co.uk). A fifteen minute drive takes you to the World Heritage site of Ironbridge, the birth of the Industrial Revolution. The ten Ironbridge Gorge Museums provide a diverse range of interactive activities for both adults and children, Welcome to The Ironbridge Gorge Museums - birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. The website 'Visit Shropshire' provides a great variety of information for you, Visit Shropshire - The official tourism website for Shropshire.

Telford (just fifteen minutes beyond Ironbridge) has many activities to offer, including a dry ski slope, a skating rink, a multi-plex cinema, and a large shopping centre. Telford is also the home of the nearest train station, and national bus route. Lower Hill Campsite is not on a direct link to Public transport, the nearest bus routes are to Much Wenlock from Shrewsbury or Telford; Bus Travel in Much Wenlock | Tickets & Times | Arriva Bus.
