About Free Range Glamping

Two luxury yurts and two shepherd's huts a hoppers and a basketmakers hut in a Kentish meadow on Bore Place Organic dairy farm.  And two wild camping spots in Kent.

We started life in 2017 and our first luxury yurt proved such a huge hit that we've slowly added another yurt, two shepherds huts and a Hoppers Hut.   We love being out in nature, but we also love comfy beds, kitchen facilities, and wood-burning Firepits and stoves, so we feel Free Range Glamping offers the best of both worlds – rustic luxury meets a true outdoors experience.

Our rural Kent Downs setting is such a beautifully special place – we hope you love it as much as we do. We invite you to play in the woods, sit round the fire and explore the farm. Bore Place operates as an environmental charity in the weald of Kent. An amazing creative place, with lots going on, and yet a real stillness about it. Guests are welcome to take part in our ecology courses, woodcraft and guided walks.

Booking Policy

  • Check in at Bore Place is from 5pm on your arrival date, unless otherwise arranged
  • Check out at Bore Place is by 11am on your leaving date, unless you've arranged otherwise
  • Unfortunately pets, including dogs, are not allowed
  • Linen - sheets and towels are included in the Yurts and Shepherds huts, but not in the Hoppers or Basketmakers Huts (or Wild camping!)
  • Noise - we are a peaceful and tranquil site, and therefore amplified music is not allowed
  • Safety - we are a working farm, with numerous ponds and heavy machinerery, so children need supervision at all times.  Please don't walk under the trees in windy weather as occasionally branches fall.
  • Fire - Please don't use candles, even in lamps inside your yurt or shepherds hut.  No clothes or towels must be hung anywhere near a wood burning stove in case they fall onto it and catch fire.

Cancellation Policy

  • Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking (minus fees), if the check-in date is at least 14 days away
  • Booking deposit forfeit if cancellations made before the balance is due, 30 days before your stay
  • 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in (minus fees)
  • No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in
