Fluxmere Glamping Retreat offers fabulous glamping in the beautiful Dorset countryside. With just five gorgeous yurts and a safari tent dotted across seven sprawling acres, peace, quiet and that all important space to relax in is guaranteed.

Fluxmere is a natural site that is run completely off grid. It is surrounded by nature and wildlife and as soon as you arrive you will straight away be drawn into the tranquil and relaxing atmosphere we have here.

Each yurt and the safari tent are extremely spacious. Each yurt has a king size bed and 2 single futons and the safari tent has a king size bed and bunkbeds. Each unit also has a woodburner.

Each pitch is vast and fairly private. The yurt pitches come complete with their own kitchen unit, canopy with table and chairs and a firepit with grate for campfire cooking. The kitchens are equipped with gas cooker with hob, grill and oven. All crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, washing up equipment, tea towels, cups and glasses are provided. A large coolbox is provided for each kitchen and ice blocks are exchanged daily. The safari tent has 3 separate rooms, 2 bedrooms and a lounge/kitchen area.

The facilities block consists of 2 x flushing toilets, 2 x showers and 2 x wash hand basins. There is also a washing up sink. Hair dryer and straighteners for use free-of-charge. Mobile phones/tablets charging available for each yurt.

We have a number of ponds on site. We also have a small childrens play area with a football pitch. Nature and wildlife is very important to us at Fluxmere. We have ducks and peacocks that roam the site and if you're lucky you may catch a glimpse of a deer running through. There is a bug barn, bee hotel and hedgehog house on site not to mention our nature hut and bird hide.

There is a small shop that sells local produce, ice creams, drinks and gifts. Also in the shop is a cupboard of 'Borrows'. These are items that can be borrowed during your stay including books and board games.

Fluxmere is set at the foot of the impressive Hambledon Hill....views from the top are outstanding! We are also surrounded by the most fabulous walks and cycle routes.

A holiday at Fluxmere is ideal for everyone and we guarantee you will leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated......it really does have to be seen to be believed.

Booking Policy

  • Check-in time: 2pm. Check-out time: 10am
  • All Yurts accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. An extra child can be added for £10 per night (this includes a quality camp bed and bedding)
  • All units come complete with bedding and linen and each kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need
  • We supply a small amount of logs for the log burner but more can be purchased from reception
  • Dogs are welcome but must be added onto booking and kept on leads at all times
  • Please note it is shared toilet/shower facilities & the site is fully off-grid solar fed so power can be limited

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your booking:

  • More than 6 weeks before your stay: Full refund given
  • Less than 6 weeks before your stay: 50% refund given (if we are able to rebook your accommodation, we will refund the full 100%)
  • Within 2 weeks of arrival: No refund given
