About Peake's Retreats
Established in 2016, Peake’s Retreats is a family-run glamping site designed to help guests slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the simple, cosy pleasure of countryside living. Set on our smallholding in rural Staffordshire, just 4 miles from Burton-on-Trent and 12 miles from Ashbourne, our retreat offers a peaceful escape surrounded by rolling fields, big skies and that magical “middle of nowhere” feeling.
We specialise in authentic glamping, offering 3 Mongolian yurts, each with its own private outdoor space, bathrooms, woodburner and the option to add a private hot tub. Our yurts sit quietly in their field enclosed by hedgerows and trees, giving guests privacy, nature, and the cosy charm of a true camping experience, without sacrificing comfort.
Guests share access to a fully-equipped cooking cabin (with a private fridge for each yurt) and a stunning Finnish BBQ hut, perfect for year-round grilling and long, fire-lit evenings. Whether you’re stargazing from your hot tub, cooking over your BBQ, or listening to the owls from your decking, our glamping area is designed for slow, simple time outdoors.
Alongside the yurts, we also offer The Loft, our private one-bedroom holiday cottage with its own enclosed hot tub area, cuddle chair, smart TV and luxurious super-king bed. The Loft is ideal for couples seeking a romantic break in the countryside

Booking Policy
- Your yurt will be ready from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
- We operate a self-checkin system so please read all emails thoroughly
- Quiet hours are between 10pm and 7am, excessive noise during these hours that disrupts other guests will be addressed
- Dogs are permitted for a fee of £30
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. All bedding, linen and towels are included, but you may opt to bring your own if you feel more comfortable doing this- just let us know.
- The hot tub can not be used after 11pm at night and before 7am in the morning. Children must be supervised at all times when using the play equipment.
- No smoking inside any of the accommodation or communal areas.
- Stag parties only on request
- Hen parties must book the entire site
Cancellation Policy
If you have to cancel your holiday, please inform us immediately.
We will re-advertise dates, if re-sold we will issue a refund for the amount sold for minus a £50 administration fee.
In the event we can't re-sell dates the following applies:
If cancelled more than 60 days before your arrival date we will refund any monies paid, minus the 25% booking deposit. No further payment will be taken.
If cancelled less than 60 days before your arrival date 50% off the final balance will be due. This will include the 25% deposit already paid plus a further 25%.
If cancelled less than 28 days before your arrival date all monies paid will be forfeited.
We strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance to cover you in the event of a cancellation.
- Deposits paid are non refundable and non transferable.
- Non-payment of the balance by the due date will be construed as cancellation by you.
