The Owner Says
Our five-star safari tents takes glamping in South Wales to a whole new level of luxury. Living areas offer a comfy and spacious place to unwind, with sofa, dining area and books and games to keep everyone amused. There are plenty of candles and lanterns but we also have led lighting where you need it. There is electric so you can charge your phone, if you want to stay in contact with the outside world.
The kitchen area has all you need to rustle up a feast, if you’re not cooking al fresco on the fire pit! A two-ring gas hob, fridge and a sink with hot water on tap. You will also find it stocked with plenty of basics such as oil, salt, pepper and herbs, plus a little extra treat on arrival. Why not book one of our fabulous food hampers too?
The tents comfortably sleep four. The gorgeous Welsh box bed, with its twinkly lights is perfect for couples and the sofa bed easily converts into a double, perfect for friends or a couple of kids. Parents visiting with younger children please be aware that the safari tents are very close to the pond, which is not fenced. All bedding is provided.
The bathrooms don't scrimp on luxury either. You have a flushing toilet, basin and hot shower. We also provide fluffy towels for your stay.
Outside, the tent has a huge and well sheltered veranda, facing away from the prevailing winds so that you can take in the fabulous view in all weathers. There’s a table and chairs for outdoor dining.
For the more adventurous glampers, pull up a log around the fire pit which has a griddle and hot plate for barbecuing.
And finally, not forgetting the natural wooden hot tub. It's is heated by a wood burning stove and once up to temperature will stay hot for around an hour, by which time you will be very wrinkly. There are no nasty chemicals, just plain water which is of course changed for every guest.

There are countless other places nearby to visit, like St Fagans – with 100 acres of parkland and 40 original buildings from various historical periods, Big Pit (0300 111 2333) where, guided by former pit workers, you can explore Wales' industrial past. Also, Blaenavon Ironworks (01495 792615) and the huffing and puffing Brecon Mountain Railway (01685 722988) are popular with visitors.
