The Forge has recently been renovated to the highest standards.  The modern tiled wetroom/bathroom has a Mira shower and wooden Japanese dipping tub with heated towel rail and candle-filled window sills, just perfect for a bit of 'me-time.'  We have designed a perfect mezzanine nest-bedroom accessed by a spiral staircase, through sheer voile curtains.  The bedlinen is all luxurious quality from The White Company including electric blankets for cozy evenings.  The beds can be made up as a super-kingsize bed or two single beds.  The kitchen is fully-modernised with dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, fan oven and halogen hob and not forgetting the Lavazza coffee machine with compostable pods.  The living area has a wood-burning stove, dining table and chairs, sofa and swivel arm-chair, smart TV, bluetooth speaker and most importantly a beautiful set of patio doors opening onto the wooden deck.  The external wooden deck with external lights overlooks the private, enclosed garden and beyond to the surrounding grounds and fields. The perfect place for bird-watching, star-gazing or just deep-breathing.  Facilities include; Wood burning stove, WiFi, smart television, bluetooth speaker, Lavazza coffee machine, dishwasher, fan oven and halogen hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, White Company bed linen, iron & board, hairdryer, 2-pin adapter for electric toothbrushes/shavers.

About Glanmedeni

Suitable For

Our exclusively adults cottage is a secluded and peaceful retreat.  A haven for watching the wildlife - we have a bird-watching diary, or watching the stars - the total blackout at night can give you the most amazing views of the universe with the naked eye.  The area is perfect for walking, hiking, painting and drawing, exploring, wild swimming and so much more.

Nearby

We are perfectly positioned in Southern Ceredigion.  Just a few minutes from the rugged West Wales coastline.  From windswept isolated coves to some of the most beautiful, sandy beaches the United Kingdom has to offer. The recently renovated Ceredigion Coast Path is a walkers’ paradise.  Just south of us are the Preseli Mountains, where the Stonehenge standing stones originated from.  The surrounding area has stunning views across Cardigan Bay and further afield across the Irish sea.  The area is steeped in magical Celtic history and fables.  There are a huge variety of historical places, ancient woodlands and neolithic burial grounds to explore.  We have industrial museums, cheese manufacturing, gin distilling, pilgrimage walks and smokehouses on the doorstep and plenty of more adventurous activities just a little further afield.

Food & Drink

You won't be stuck for fabulous places to eat and drink in the area.  There is a tremendous selection to suit all tastes and budgets.  Important mentions go to "The Plwmp Tart" at Penbryn beach, “Crwst” in Cardigan, "In the Welsh Wind" gin distillery at Tan-y-groes and "The Buoy Ashore" at Aberporth beach (summer only.)
